How do I point my domain to my Multipage Site?

BEFORE GETTING STARTED: We understand that launching a website and connecting it to a domain can be a complex task - please do not hesitate to contact support@logo.com with any questions!


PLEASE NOTE: These instructions are for your Multipage Ecommerce Site - if you're looking for instructions on how to connect your domain to your One Page Site, click here.


Once you've completed building your Multipage Site, there are two final steps to get your new website up and running:




Step 1: Adding your domain to your Multipage Site Settings


  • From the Multipage Site Editor, select SEO & Settings->Site Domain


  • In the window that opens, select Use a domain you already own. Make sure to add www. to the domain:


Step 2: Point your domain to your website

After you save your settings, you'll need to add 3 DNS records to your domain.


  • Click here if you have a LOGO.com domain

  • Click here if you have a domain with an outside registrar





Configuring your DNS Settings with a LOGO.com Domain


If you have a LOGO.com domain, you can access your domain's DNS settings through your Dashboard.


  • Log into your LOGO.com dashboard
  • Click on Domains in the left-hand menu, then select Manage for the domain that you'll be editing:

  • In the My Domains screen that appears, select the domain that you want to manage:

  • On the next screen, select Manage DNS

You'll be brought to the DNS Management screen for your domain - this is where you'll need to add three DNS records:


CNAME

  • Host: www
  • Points to: s.multiscreensite.com

A Records

First A Record:

  • Host/Alias: @
  • Target/Destination: 35.172.94.1

Second A Record:

  • Host/Alias: @
  • Target/Destination: 100.24.208.97

CNAME record: 

*If you have an existing CNAME www record, you can edit it, or delete it and create a new record - please note however that only one CNAME record with a name of www can exist for each domain.


Click the edit button for the CNAME record, set the Name as www and enter s.multiscreensite.com in the Value field, and click Save:



A records:

Note that any pre-existing A records with the name @ must be deleted before adding these new records, or the domain will not be correctly pointed to your LOGO.com Multipage Site


Click the blue Add New Record button on the upper right of the page and select A under Type. Enter the @ symbol in the Name field and enter a Value of 35.172.94.1


Click TTL and select Custom. Enter 600 in the Seconds field, then click Add Record.



Add another A record:

Click the blue Add New Record button on the upper right of the page and select A under Type. Enter the @ symbol in the Name field and enter a Value of 100.24.208.97


Click TTL and select Custom. Enter 600 in the Seconds field, then click Add Record.



To finalize the process, republish your website:

Your domain should propagate within 10 minutes, however it can take up to 48 hours for the process to be completed.

Configuring your domain with an outside registrar

If your domain is hosted elsewhere you'll need to access your DNS settings through your domain host login. You will need to add the following three DNS records to your DNS settings:


CNAME

  • Host: www
  • Points to: s.multiscreensite.com

A Records

  • First A Record:
    • Host/Alias: @
    • Target/Destination: 35.172.94.1
  • Second A Record:
    • Host/Alias: @
    • Target/Destination: 100.24.208.97

Below are instructions for configuring DNS records for several popular domain hosts:

Bluehost Domain.com
GoDaddy NameCheap
HostGator Google Domains

After you add the DNS records to your domain settings, to finalize the process, republish your website:

Your domain should propagate within 10 minutes, however it can take up to 48 hours for the process to be completed.
